GENERATIONAL ROOTS

 

A many generation metro-Atlantan, Lauren Pearson Rivera first learned about hard work, entrepreneurship, and overcoming adversity while spending summers and holidays on her grandparent's working cattle ranch. When asked about how her childhood shaped the woman she is today she says,

"As a child, while riding our ranch horse Cree, I found myself hanging on for dear life as the saddle slipped while she ran, spooked. I let go and fell in the dirt, tears streaming down my face with nothing broken but my pride. I will never forget my Grandfather firmly telling me that I needed to shake it off and get back on. I reluctantly brushed the dirt off my hands and knees, stood up and climbed my way back up on top of the horse. As the sting of the ground and the tears from my eyes faded, my fears were replaced with confidence with every step. A lesson in adversity that I hold dear even today."

FINDING HER FOOTING

Lauren holds a BFA in Interior Design from The Savannah College of Art and Design, one of the top interior design programs in the country. Time spent studying and traveling throughout Europe during her formative years instilled in her a diverse foundation in design concepts, inspiration and practices. Upon graduating into the adversity that was the Great Recession, Lauren knew she would have to persevere if she truly wanted to work in the creative industry. She took freelance jobs in visual merchandising, as well as styling sets for e-commerce photography of national name brand retailers. While assisting one of Atlanta's premier wedding and event designers, she learned extensive client and customer service skills as well as how to be resourceful, wildly creative, and the proper execution of project processes and logistics, from concept to completion.

THE WILL TO SUCCEED

Lauren watched as her own mother built one half of a female-owned company partnership in real estate, pivoting through recession and persevering to excel within the industry. Armed with the wisdom of her personal and generational family experiences coupled with her practical interior design education, she began Lauren Rivera Interiors, a boutique interior design studio rooted in hard work, perseverance, and excellence both in process and client experience. Her passion as an interior designer is not only shaped by her ability to curate color palettes, balance textures and distinctive furnishings, but is also influenced by her natural ability to connect with people. Every single design project begins with time spent learning about her clients and understanding how they live in order to help shape their interiors to promote their overall well-being.

With over a decade of design experience, the spaces Lauren creates today tend to be comfortable, colorful, and highly personalized. Lauren and her team make the design process as easy and relaxed as possible for her clients, passionately transforming homes and businesses to facilitate how her clients live and work. Guiding her team of artisans, manufacturers, contractors and vendors - she curates livable interiors rooted in tradition and mixed with personality that become the backdrop to a life well lived. Lauren and her husband have three busy children. They reside in the Acworth area and enjoy exploring all that Atlanta and North Georgia have to offer.
